Old Fort Harrod State Park
A full-scale replica of the fort built by James Harrod in 1774 is the centerpiece of Old Fort Harrod State Park. Cabins and blockhouses are furnished with handmade utensils, furniture, crude tools and implements used by the pioneers. Interpreters transport guests to the days of pioneers.
Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill shares 3,000 acres of discovery in the spirit of the Kentucky Shakers. Home to the third largest Shaker community in the United States between 1805 and 1910, the site offers experiences designed to expand imaginations and inspire generations.

World War II Bataan March Memorial
A World War II M-4 tank commemorates the Harrodsburg Tankers, a Kentucky National Guard unit called to active duty prior to WWII. They fought to defend Bataan and Corregidor during a critical battle of World War II. They endured “The Bataan Death March,” and more than three years as prisoners of war before returning to Kentucky.
Beriah Magoffin Monument
Beriah Magoffin, who was governor of Kentucky (1859-62) when the Civil War started, is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery where his monument stands in commemoration. Although sympathetic to secession, he sought to retain neutrality for Kentucky for the conflict, until pro-Union forces compelled him to resign from the governorship.

In the heart of downtown Harrodsburg lies a National Register Historic District with a streetscape reminiscent of an earlier time. Most of the preserved buildings within this area date back to the 1880s and 1890s.
